Strive for 5

This week Hunter, Kobi & Braxton went around the school to collect the attendance data. We are delighted to say this was our best week yet with 133 children being in school all 5 days this week. This brings our total to 381 weeks!! This means next week we only need to get 19 weeks. AND next week is a short week so it should be even easier. There will be an announcment on Thursday morning after the roll has been taken to let everyone know if the disco is going to go ahead. Well done to all the children and parents!! Fingers crossed we can keep up the fantastic work.

Strive for 5

On Friday October 3rd, 3 helpers from 2nd class; Braxton, Kobi & Hunter along with Ms Corbet went around the school to check the calendars and calculate how many weeks we have achieved. We are delighted to say 121 children in the school were in for the full week so we have reached 121 weeks already. Over the next 3 weeks we have to get 279 more weeks in order to get our Halloween disco. Keep up the good work everyone!!

Strive for 5

For the month of October we are encouraging everyone to come to school all 5 days of the week, every week. We are calling this our Strive for 5!! It has been proven that regular attendance can boost achievement, self-esteem and confidence. Every child that completes a full week will help us achieve our goal of reaching 400 weeks. It is a big number but we can do it! We will track our attendance every Friday and will update everyone at assembly to our progress. If we reach 400 weeks the children will be rewarded with a Halloween disco on Thursday the 23rd of October. Best of luck everyone!!

Curious Minds Award 2025

We were thrilled to be awarded a Gold Curious Minds Award for another year.  Huge congratulations to everyone for all their work on Science, Engineering, Technology and Maths. Big thank you to Ms Monahan for organising everything. Here’s what the Curious Minds had to say about our school!

Congratulations to St. Bernadette’s Junior NS on delivering an excellent log of your Curious Minds experiences this year. The log clearly demonstrates evidence of learner engagement across the school, while also incorporating STEM events. I really enjoyed having the opportunity to see the learners at the Dino Detectives workshop at the zoo. It was great to see your parent come to the school and get involved in the Maths week activities. Well done on the Show and Tell presenting your projects to the school, teachers and parents. .

Keep up this fantastic work and well done on your award!
