Learning to read can be easy and fun!

We are all using a new app called Reading Eggs in school. It makes learning to read interesting and engaging for kids, with great online reading games and activities. And it really works! Children love the games, songs, golden eggs and other rewards which, along with feeling proud of their reading, really motivate children to keep exploring and learning. We hope you can use the app at home and help the children win as many golden eggs as possible to move to the next level.

Congratulations to the November attendance champions!

Ms Heffernan’s class has been working hard on their writing in Literacy Lift Off. They have been working on creating interesting stories with detailed characters and settings. They created a plan for their story, they wrote a draft and then typed the finished product. Have a look at their amazing work. Well done second class!

St. Bernadette’s JNS is accepting applications for enrolment into our Early Start, Junior infants and Special class from Monday November 11th.The application form is available in the admissions section of the website here. Hard copies of the form can be collected from the school office from November 11th on.

St. Bernadette’s celebrated Maths Week from the 14th – 21st October 2024. The whole school was a hive of activity with all classes participating in fun, engaging, interactive and collaborative group Maths activities. We really enjoyed the maths fair in the hall.
