St. Bernadette’s celebrated Maths Week from the 14th – 21st October 2024. The whole school was a hive of activity with all classes participating in fun, engaging, interactive and collaborative group Maths activities. We really enjoyed the maths fair in the hall. Please see below pictures for a taster of all the activities we were involved in. A great week was had by everyone! Well done and congratulations to all the pupils, parents and teachers for your successful involvement and participation in Maths Week 2024! Maith sibh!

What a difference a season makes. In the spring we got busy in the school garden and now we can harvest our first crop. Ms Cashin’s class harvested their onions that they planted in the spring. During the week they will be using their onions to cook some homemade pizzas!

We watched a fantastic performance by the Garda Band today. They played lots of our favourite songs and Sponge Bob Square Pants even made an appearance. The children and teachers really enjoyed joining in with all of the singing and dancing!

The final theme for Aistear this year was ‘The campsite.’ The Children learnt all about the campsite in the classroom. Then we took to the school garden for a real camping trip! Including our very own campsite with tents, camping chairs and sleeping bags, a barbeque for lunch and finishing off the day with some yummy smores. The children loved their camping trip!

The wonderful Children’s Art was exhibited to the Parents and public during this week. The children thoroughly enjoyed creating their Art work and bringing their parents to School to see it proudly displayed. We definitely have some budding Artists among us!

We had a very special visitor in assembly this week! Willis the dog came to visit to thank all of the boys and girls in St Bernadette’s for raising money on Lá Glas. Willis is a service puppy for Charlie in Room 7 . Willis is a puppy in training his job will be to help Charlie and his family.
The money raised on Lá Glas went to the Canine Companion charity. The charity offer canine support which can be life changing for children and families living with autism. Well done to everyone who donated and thank you Jenny and Willis for visiting!
